First Step Café

Nestled deep in the Lavender Beds, home of Gridania's adventurers, the First Step Café is a small, family-owned bistro that believes our best world is a diverse, multinational one.Our mission is to become the Black Shroud's home for fusion breakfast cuisine inspired by meaningful and innovative recipes from cultures living across our beloved star.

Gladjen Stormwolf

☙ Owner

Gladjen was born in Gridania to Sharlayan parents. His life began to change upon meeting Joan through a mutual friend. Soon he had joined her in her adventures. While their free company's primary focus is safety and security, Gladjen found himself shying away from the more violent parts of that necessary work. In order to serve his colleagues within free company, Gladjen took the initiative to invent the First Step Café: a cozy bistro for those searching for a venue with a familiar atmosphere or a soothing respite between jobs.

Joan A. Stormwolf

Joan was born in western Coerthas as part of a struggling miqo'te family. After years of adventuring, she has been able to pull her family out of poverty to become the spiritual and political leader of the eminent House Cross in Ishgard as well as a celebrated philanthropist and citizen in her current home in the Twelveswood. Joan received her professional chef's training at the prestigious Bismarck in Limsa Lominsa.

Co-owners Joan A. Stormwolf and Gladjen Stormwolf were brought together by family and just happened to share a dream:Gladjen is an idealist and a dreamer who hoped one day to own and run his very own bistro, and Joan is an experienced small-business owner who had long dreamed of cooking for others. They partnered together to build the First Step Café as a means of brewing from both of their dreams a delectable reality. We are most readily available during our bistro's open hours: on Sundays from 8pm to 11pm Eastern in the Lavender Beds, Ward 23, Plot 31 on Mateus in the Crystal North American data center.
